officialS (PAID POSITION)

FREE Level 1 Officiating Course  - Oct 23, 2026

We need officials to ref at tournaments - in Terrace and beyond! This is a paid position and a great opportunity for adults and players alike. Getting local training isn't always possible - and this course is FREE.

  • October 23, 2026 @ Terrace Sportsplex
  • 9am to 1pm,  classroom portion
  • 1:15pm to 2:15pm - on ice portion
  • Open to anyone age 14 years and above (in Terrace and beyond. You don't have to be affiliated with the Terrace Ringette Association and/or can be part of other associations, for example, Terrace Minor Hockey, Houston Ringette Association, etc)

Being an Official

  • Each game requires two referees.
  • Games are an hour long.
  • Pay per game is starting at $20.

  • Reimbursement is available for taking the officials course after you have successfully officiated 3 games.

Officials are required to complete the Level 1 Officiating Course. The course  has to be done every 2 years - unless there is a rule change; Then the course needs to be redone that year.
