Volunteer with us!

We are looking for positive role models to represent Terrace Ringette as the quality and professional association that we are, on and off the ice! As our association grows, and we have more players joining and more teams competing at more and more tournaments, we need all the help we can get Head coaches are especially key. 

You can make a huge difference as a:

  • Head coach
  • Assistant Coach
  • On-ice helper
  • Team manager
  • Division Head (for divisions with more than one team)
  • Official - Paid positions! More info on 'Officials' page.
  • And more! We are always happy to have help with promotion, fundraising and events or anything else you can think of that would benefit the players and association.

Interested in coaching?

  • Contact Director of Coaching Kelly Sallenback: ksallenback@hotmail.com

  • Fill out the Coaching Application Form. Include your contact information and a short note about yourself, indicating the team you want to coach, some details on your plans for the upcoming season, potential managers you might team up with, and any assistant coaches you might have lined up.

Coaching and Volunteer Requirements

  • Complete an online Criminal Record Check! (Access Code: KWP2XN867K). We require updated Criminal Record Checks every 2 years. The RCMP will send your completed criminal record check directly to Terrace Ringette Association.

  • Complete the online course Making Headway in Sport and provide a course completion certificate to Kelly Sallenback at ksallenback@hotmail.com before your first ice session.

  • Attending a Referee clinic online or in person is recommended, especially for new coaches. Talk to Kelly about options. 

  • We aim to reimburse volunteers for all costs associated with coaching clinics and managers' courses. Costs must be discussed and approved by the Terrace Ringette Association Board ahead of time ahead of time, however.

Clinics & Training
Some training is offered for FREE and online training is often available as needed. Availability of some clinics and training varies however.

The board recognizes training requirements exist for some key positions (head coach, assistant coach, etc.) and as much as possible, we aim to bring training opportunities to Terrace. Travel may be required for some clinics and training, however.

We aim to reimburse volunteers for all clinic and training costs and travel expenses. As budget is limited, however, these cost must be discussed and approved by the Board beforehand.
